This is a tutorial on customizing workflow within eFileCabinet desktop product. The tutorial is broken up into two categories: permissions and profiles. When these are properly configured, documents are able to move easily through the workflow while ensuring that employees have access to only their documents.

The permissions feature ensures that the proper profiles will have access to the appropriate drawers and folders. Making sure that the correct profile can view only items they are supposed to is very important when it comes to matters of federal compliance (HIPAA), but is still easy to customize within eFileCabinet Online and eFileCabinet Desktop. Assigning the correct permissions can be done from the “Ensure Permissions” action item and (after the initial upload) it is the first step in establishing workflow between profiles.
